We have places available at our Nursery!

Here at Blackgates Primary Academy, we have nursery provision for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. 

Children will be offered a place to start with us the full term after they turn two for our two year old nursery provision, and the full term after they turn three years old for our three year old provision. In some circumstances, where places are available, your child may be offered a place to start any time following their second/third birthday. The nursery will continually assess availability of places and make offers to the next family on the waiting list, in order of priority. Children will be invited to start in the nursery on a mutually agreed date that is appropriate to both the family and the nursery. Please note, in line the Schools Admissions code, a place in our nursery does not guarantee a Reception place at our Academy but you can find all details of how to apply on our how to apply to reception information. We will support you with any application you choose to make.

 

We offer the following patterns, subject to availability:

3/4's Nursery

15 hrs - All Mornings Monday to Friday 8.40am - 11.40am

15 hrs - All Afternoons Monday to Friday 12.20am - 3.20pm

15 hrs - 2.5 days Monday, Tuesday 9.00am - 3.00pm, Wednesday 8.40am -11.40am

15 hrs - 2.5 days Wednesday 1.20pm – 3.20pm, Thursday & Friday - 9.00am -3.00pm

30 hours - Monday - Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm

 

2's Nursery

15 hrs - All Mornings Monday to Friday 8.45am - 11.45am

15 hrs - All Afternoons Monday to Friday 12.15pm - 3.15pm

30 hours - Monday to Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm

 

Every child aged 3 and 4 is entitled to Free Early Education for 15 hours per week. Some children from working families may be eligible for 30 hours per week of Free Early Education. It is the responsibility of parents/ carers to identify your own eligibility and provide the school with your unique reference number before entitlement can begin. You must sign in to your childcare account every 3 months to confirm your details are up to date and reconfirm eligibility.

 

We may be able to provide additional sessions, subject to availability. For those entitled to 15 hours, sessions above your 15 hour entitlement will be charged as follows:

  • Morning or Afternoon session -  £18
  • Full day session - £36

 

Free Early Education is also available for two year olds. Depending on eligibility, this may be 15 or 30 hours.

 

Where your child is attending for a full day, you will be charged for your child’s lunch, unless you choose to send your child with a packed lunch.
